The OECD is the international organization that promotes cooperation between countries to improve education and economic opportunities. They produce the PISA tests comparing student academic performance across multiple countries.
In September 2015 the OECD released its report on Students, Computers and Learning. The Executive Summary points out that results are mixed on the value of edtech (often called ICT). Use of tech resources are not a panacea for students, but what is equally true is that they are here to stay. If one were to summarize, it might be: Use of technology in education cannot be divorced from pedagogy.
